The Election Protection Coalition of Arizona is a nonpartisan effort — not affiliated with any political party — by a group of partners to ensure eligible voters are able to participate in our democracy without threats of intimidation, overly burdensome policies, or long lines. Our mission is to make sure all votes are counted, regardless of who they’re for.
Our coalition partners include frontline organizations that work with communities most targeted by voter suppression. For example, the Indian Legal Clinic and the Inter Tribal Council of Arizona to ensure a program that meets the needs of voters in Tribal communities.
We recruit, train, and rely on volunteers from the community to observe polling places across the state and report any potential voter intimidation, equipment malfunction, or other barriers to voters. We pair volunteers with voter sites by analyzing polling site histories of barriers to voting, regardless of political party turnout or presence of partisan election protection programs.
